Beyond that, the tool is also great for capturing and sharing ideas. From an IT standpoint, the tool can be used to record bugs or glitches which is useful to help get the problem fixed quickly and effectively. For example, you can use it to create step-by-step tutorials which are helpful when trying to show colleagues, employees or even your customers how to do things – particularly if they are quite technical. The new-and-improved Snip & Sketch is a handy addition to your desktop (and one we use regularly!). And when you’re done, you simply save as a PNG file, copy and share the final image using email, nearby sharing or another supported application. If you have a touchscreen, you can even write with a stylus or your finger. When it comes to annotating your screenshots, Snip & Sketch also has more features than the original Snipping Tool – allowing users to modify the ‘snip’ virtually any way they like by cropping, highlighting, writing on or drawing on the image. The updated version then lets you save and reuse multiple items and even sync those clips to other devices. But unlike with the previous Snipping Tool, users can now take an immediate screenshot or set it to snap via a timer, with a delay of three or 10 seconds. The tool enables you to take a shot of the entire screen, a rectangular section or a freeform area and copy it to the Clipboard – this is nothing new. ‘Snip & Sketch’ combines the legacy Snipping Tool with Screen Sketch (previously part of Windows Ink Workspace) to create a single app for capturing and annotating screenshots of the desktop, apps, and games without the need for third-party tools. Windows 10 has long allowed you to take and save screenshots using the Snipping Tool but thanks to a recent Windows update, users now have access to a complete set of screen-capture tools. There’s a new screenshot tool in town and we’ve been making full use of it on our desktops here at Pro Drive IT.
